The ZD Vein Finder  employs near-infrared light (NIR) technology. Its principle is to utilize the different absorption rates of infrared light by hemoglobin in the blood compared to the surrounding tissues, thereby projecting the vascular map in real time onto the skin surface. Whether it is a cat, dog, rabbit, horse, or pig, their blood and tissue structures have the same physical properties under infrared light.

Need to shave the fur: The dense fur of the animal will block and scatter infrared light, causing the machine to be unable to penetrate for imaging. Therefore, when the pet undergoes intravenous injection, indwelling needle insertion, or blood drawing, the target area must be shaved first to expose the skin, and then the equipment can clearly image. Special cases without shaving: For dogs and cats without hair, and areas with sparse skin (such as the inner side of the ears, groin, inner side of the thighs, etc.), it is possible to try using directly without shaving the hair.

Color mode switching (suitable for pets): The skin color and texture of animals are more complex and variable than those of humans. The ZD imaging instrument supports multi-color switching (such as red, green, blue, etc.) and brightness adjustment. Medical cold light source, safe and non-irritating to the eyes: When pets are undergoing diagnosis and treatment, they often experience anxiety and struggle, and are prone to turning their heads to directly face the light source. The ZD equipment uses a safe medical cold light source that is not laser imaging. Even if the animal or the medical staff accidentally look directly at it, it will not cause any harm to the retina.
Portability and compatibility with various supports: Pets are not as obedient as humans and do not cooperate. The handheld and portable design of ZD, or when combined with mobile trolley supports or desktop fixed supports, enables veterinarians to flexibly adjust the angle on the operating table or examination table, and quickly lock onto blood vessels.
